Ares was captured as a Snivy from the Pokemon World. He is a wild pokemon and never had any owners. He was taken to the Stadium and was used to conduct experiments on. Despite his name, he is timid and hates fighting. He was freed by Epona from the Laboratory and agreed to help her free the fighters.
He and Mars are now free. He was friends with Sky when he was a Snivy.
